- Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno visits Air Cruisers headquarters in Wall Township, then heads to Steve Audubato's 25th annual Irish Breakfast at The Breakers Hotel in Spring Lake.
- U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and senior officials from the regional office of the Environmental Protection Agency hold a news conference at Bayonne Medical Center as its launches its 'green hospital' initiative.
- State Capitol Joint Management Commission meets in Trenton.
- State Board of Human Services meets.
- State Physician Assistant Advisory Committee meets.
- The Statewide Acquisition & Redevelopment (STAR) Corp., a subsidiary of the state Housing & Mortgage Finance Agency, holds its annual meeting.
- Tomorrow is Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Clean Up Day. The New Jersey Sierra Club and New Jersey Clean Communities do a beach cleanup in Asbury Park.
- UPDATE: On Sunday, Bergen County lawmakers hold a news conference at the foot of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee to oppose the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey toll hike taking effect that day. Bridge and tunnel tolls go from $8 currently to $9.50 for E-ZPass users and $12 for cash commuters. Additional smaller increases will add another $3 over the course of the next four years.
- On Sunday, a program called 'Citizenship Rutgers' at the Rutgers Student Center in New Brunswick features immigration lawyers providing free reviews of legal permanent residents' eligibility to apply for U.S. citizenship. Similar programs will be offered Oct. 1 on the Newark campus and Oct. 29 on the Camden campus.
